The Fire Safety Division is responsible for conformance with the Florida Fire Prevention Code, in establishing a reasonable level of fire and life safety and property protection from hazards for all new construction and existing commercial businesses within the City of Deltona. Additional services include, but are not limited to, routine inspections of commercial and home based businesses, temporary structures and fire protection systems; development review; review of construction plans and specifications for life safety systems and fire protection/detection systems; new
construction inspections including installation of fire protection systems; burn permits, special event permits and other related fire and life safety concerns.
ALL SUBMITTALS MUST BE TURNED INTO THE BUILDING AND ENFORCEMENT SERVICES DIVISION FOR PROCESSING AND PERMITTING.
It is a violation of FS.553.79 & 633.0215, to perform work without a proper permit.
