Values: We will honor the public trust through: Goals: We will focus on customer service by: The Human Resources Department is responsible for the overall hiring process for the City of Deltona, as well as training and development of City employee's and the administration of medical, dental, and life insurance programs and voluntray benefits such as AFLAC. The Department is also responisble for the management and administration of various recognition programs and activities, the performance management, compensation administration, change in employment status and education and wellnes programs. Additionally, Human Resources administers legally mandated programs such as COBRA, Family Medical Leave, and Short-term and Long tem disability, as well as coordination with the state of the Florida Retirement System pension plan for all eligible employees. Human Resoures provides assistance to all City departments regarding employee relations, investigations and resolution of employee and citizen complaints. The Human Resource Department is responsible fo the city's overall risk management program including the City's annual insurance renewal process. The Human Resources Department also administers the IAFF, Local 2913 contract and participates in contract negotiations. |
