Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR)

The State of Florida requires that the City develop and update the Comprehensive Plan, and that the City evaluate the success of the previous Comprehensive Plan through the development of an Evaluation & Appraisal Report (EAR). A Unified Development Code provides the specific guidelines to achieve the Comprehensive Plan, and all three of these plans and reports help the City to maintain and achieve a comprehensive development plan. The present Comprehensive Plan was adopted in 1998, and although there have been updates the City is now required to conduct a full review.

The process will include an intensive community involvement component, offering opportunity for the residents and businesses to help shape the future of Deltona to develop goals, objectives and guidelines for the City to move forward into the future.

The Evaluation and Appraisal Report provides current information on the events that have taken place to date, such as the Introduction/Scope of Work; the Letter of Understanding to the Department of Community Affairs; the response from the Department of Community Affairs and a tentative timeline.
