Here in the City of Deltona, you will find many species of wildlife. Right in our own backyard, we are home to the 360 acres, Lyonia Preserve. This unique scrub habitat is home to the protected Scrub Jay. The preserve got its name from the Rusty Lyonia plant that is indigenous to the preserve.

Fun Fact: Gopher Tortoise burrows can house over 300 species of animals.
