Fire Extinguisher Safety Training

Fire Extinguisher Training

Fire Extinguisher Safety Training is the perfect time to get some hands on experience with a fire extinguisher.  The Deltona Fire Department offers this training to church groups, schools, social clubs, mom's clubs, day cares, and other organizations.  The Fire Extinguisher Safety Trainer replicates a small fire to teach the group how to properly use a fire extinguisher.  A minimum of five (5) students are required to run the program and shall be a minimum of 15 years of age. All participants will be issued a Certificate of Completion.

Participants are required to wear closed toe shoes and clothing that is not loose fitting for this exercise. People with respiratory issues should be aware that this is a live fire exercise that does involve a certain amount of smoke and fine powder from the dry chemical extinguisher.
