The City of Deltona’s Stormwater Division is looking for volunteers to help mark storm drains. Marking storm drains creates awareness of where these drains are located in our City and the importance of not letting pollutants run into our stormwater. Volunteers are asked to meet at 9:30 a.m., Feb. 15, at Wes Crile Park, 1537 Norbert Terrace. This year’s focus will be on the inlets of Fort Smith Boulevard between Marlow Street and Providence Boulevards. Volunteers should be done by 11 a.m.
Dan O’Hanlon, the City’s Stormwater Management Program Coordinator, will provide a demonstration on stormwater runoff and pollution prevention. For more information or to volunteer, please email O’Hanlon or call (386) 878-8962.
