The City of Deltona’s is partnering with the Deltona Business Alliance to bring Biz Fest 2018 to the Deltona business community. Biz Fest will begin at 8:30 a.m., Oct. 25, at The Center at Deltona, 1640 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd.

“This is a chance for business folks to gather, learn from the speakers, and learn from our business supporters, but perhaps most importantly form relationships with other business people in our community,” said Jerry Mayes, the City’s Economic Development Manager.

Mayes will be speaking at Biz Fest, providing an overall economic update, “Here, Now and Then.” Georgia Turner, Executive Director of the West Volusia Tourism Authority will give an update on tourism and trails and Dawn Roscoe from Career Source Florida will speak on “Training the Workers.”

Several business development agencies will have displays featuring various forms of support and assistance they can offer to local businesses. Businesses will find many resources for mapping out new growth for their companies along with government initiatives that also provide assistance.

The Deltona Business Alliance is a collaboration of Deltona business people who’s mission is to collectively improve economic development and relations between government and businesses. “The DBA appreciates the City partnering with us to help provide information and resources to our business community and this also gives us an opportunity to educate our business partners about the DBA and how to join,” said Eric Alexander, President of the Deltona Business Alliance.

Breakfast is provided at Biz Fest with an RSVP to the Deltona Business Alliance Secretary, Jean Armstrong, JArmstrong@cfl.rr.com. Or view our Constant Contact landing page to RSVP for our event and to add our event to your calendar. The event is expected to wrap up by 10:30 a.m.
