Creating Affordable Housing Opportunities While Preserving Our Existing Home Values

The Community Development departments mission is to improve the quality of life and housing conditions of the residents of the City of Deltona through the fair, ethical and honest administration of state and federal programs.  The Community Development division administers the City’s neighborhood revitalization and housing programs utilizing Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) and Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) funds.  Additionally, the Community Development department is responsible for identifying community development projects for their jurisdiction through the conduct of public meetings and surveys.

Are you looking to purchase a home?

The City has two programs that can assist you with obtaining the American dream, *Neighborhood Stabilization (NSP) and Down Payment Assistance (SHIP).

* NSP currently has a waiting list. As a result of this, please be aware that it can take up to 6 months or longer before you have the opportunity to place a contract on an NSP home. For an alternative option, refer to the Purchase Assistance (SHIP) page.

Are you looking for funds to assist with minor repairs to your home?

The City of Deltona currently has limited funding through our Owner Occupied Home Repair Program (SHIP) program.

Are you a non-profit that needs assistance?

The City of Deltona currently has limited funding for non-profits through our Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
