To ALL INTERESTED RESIDENTS AGENCIES AND ORGANIZATIONS: The City of Deltona is publishing this draft to the 2018-2019 Annual Action Plan (AAP) and Prior Program Year’s Amendment for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has proposed to allocate $585,873 to the City of Deltona for the Community Development Block Grant Program for Program Year (PY) 2018 which covers the period, October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019. The AAP identifies proposed projects and or activities to be undertaken with CDBG funds for the coming year which will serve to benefit low to moderate income persons. Listed below are the proposed projects and activities estimated to be implemented in the coming year. The City is also amending the prior year’s 2017-2018 AAP in the amount of $114,656 for funds remaining after the proposed 2017-2018 projects were completed or cancelled.
The City is also required to submit a Five- Year Consolidated Plan (Con Plan) to address housing, non-housing, and community development needs projected over the period PY 2018-2022. This Consolidated Plan will include a Strategic Plan to identify housing and community development needs and will provide options to develop priorities and objectives that may address those needs. The first annual plan from this five year period will be the Annual Action Plan for period 2018-19.

A Public Hearing to obtain citizen input on the 2018-2022 Consolidated Plan and the 2018-2019 Annual Action Plan will be held on July 16th during the regular session of the City Commission Meeting in the commission chambers beginning at 6:30 pm. The a final Public Hearing will be held on August 6th during the regular session of the City Commission Meeting in the commission chambers beginning at 6:30 pm.
A DRAFT of the 2018-2022 Consolidated Plan and the Annual Action Plan document including all projects and activities to be performed is available for review at City Hall, 2345 Providence Boulevard, from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm., Monday thru Friday, except holidays. Citizens are encouraged to review and make comments about the anticipated use of funds during the 30-day comment period beginning June 30, 2018 and ending August 6, 2018. Public comments on the PY 2018-2022 Consolidated Plan, and the 2018-2019 Annual Action Plan can be submitted in writing no later than 5PM on August 6, 2018 to:
